Parent & New Scout Information for Pack 215

Welcome to Scouting with Pack 215!!!  The information found on this sheet will help you get started in Scouting.

The Scout rank you work towards is determined by your grade in school.

• 1^st grade - Tiger Cubs
• 2^nd grade - Wolf Scout
• 3^rd grade - Bear Scout
• 4^th grade - WeBeLoS Scout (1^st year)
• 5^th grade - WeBeLoS Scout (2^nd year)
• 6^th grade - 18 years old  - Boy Scouts

Den Meetings - Are held once a week,  on day determend by the den leader, ( 2 times per month for Tigers ) for approximatly one hour.  During Den Meetings, the scouts work on scout advancement, build art & craft projects, & have game time.  (Parents are strongly encouraged to attend all of the den meetings.)

Pack Nights - Are held once each month and work around a theme. For example, October is Halloween Pack Night and January is our Pinewood derby. All parents, brothers, & sisters are invited and encouraged to attend Pack Nights.

Outings & Projects - These include our annual events; for our Scouts to talk to other Scouts around the nation & maybe the world via Ham Radio, Rocket Launch Day, & Pack Olymics.

Uniforms - ALL Boys should have a uniform shirt.  It is the way we show off our Scouts' advancement.  The local Scout supply store is The Arlington Scout Shop, Pecan Park Shopping Center, 2401 West Pioneer Parkway, Suite 151,Pantego, Texas 76013, (NE corner of Pioneer Parkway & Bowen Rd.)  Our council, the Longhorn Council at 4917 Briarhaven Rd Ft. Worth, Texas 76109-4498, also has Scout supplies.   When you buy the shirt, you will also need the white on red numerals

& a council patch.

(Tigers wear the Tiger Cub orange shirt and DO NOT have a scarf).  Scout Hats are optional. For more information about uniforms and insignias, see the Virtual Uniform and Insignia guide.

Books - Are the MOST IMPORTANT item to have right away. The books help your son advance in rank. (Tigers books are supplied by the Pack.)

DUES are paid each week to the Den Leaders to help pay for projects.   Dues are $.50 for Tigers, $.50 for Wolf & Bear Scouts, & $.50 for WeBeLoS Scouts each week.

Leaders - We are currently looking for parents who would like to help Pack 215 this year. Please talk to any of the Leaders if you can help out this year.
